WE ALL LOVED SAMANTHA.
UM
UMM WAS 18 WHEN SHE PASSED ON
NOW MEET OZY OUR NEW ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY WHO WAS ADOPTED ON 8/30/06

HERE IS OUR NEW DAUGHTER WE ADOPTED ON MARCH 9TH 2005 @1:42PM.
KANDI IS HER NAME AND SHE IS A COTON DE TELEAR
VETS CALL THEM COTONS (JUST LIKE YOU TWIRL A BATON BUT WITH A "C")
The
Coton de Tulear is known as the Royal Dog of Madagascar and was recognized by
the FCI in 1971. The Coton de
Tulear is bred and raised strictly as a companion dog.
They are small in size standing around 10 to 12 inches and weighing from
10 to 13 pounds. Their coat is long, dry, oil and dander free with no doggy
odor, even when wet. Their coat must be groomed regularly, but it is not
difficult. A quick combing several times a week will keep them tangle free.
Shedding is VERY minimal IF ANY.(IWE HAVEN'T SEEN kANDI SHED YET). Their white coat is often patched with yellow brown
or gray on the head or on their ears. Many
are born with dark brown, black or rusty patches but by the age of 2 there
should be hardly any noticeable color other than white or champagne.
There are several cases where the patches remained black or brown.
So one can never be for certain when purchasing a black or tri marked
Coton that it will become entirely white.
As
a puppy they resemble a white bear, with a small head and hair so light and
soft. Cotons are known as the "Anti-Depression Dog".
With stress being part of our daily life this little dog has suddenly
appeared as the best companion under all circumstances.
They are very attached to their master, will make you laugh and give you lots of love. They are very intelligent dogs that love to travel with the family. Their hearing is perfect and they are very friendly with all sorts of dogs, cats and children. SHE'S LEARNING TO ADAPT TO MY OTHER CATS RAPIDLY. SHE IS ALSO PICKING UP HER PAPER TRAINING VERY QUICKLY. thIS SET OF PIX BELOW WERE TAKEN THE FIRST HOUR AND DAY SHE CAME TO HER NEW HOME.
